To create a straight line: Place some stakes at each end of where you want your path to start off at and then mark their location by hammering nails into them at ground level—one nail per stake will suffice here!
Remove these stakes and line up fresh ones along this new line so they form an even row along either side of the area where you plan on installing your new driveway ramp system (or whatever).
Then mark out how many blocks go between each pair of stakes using chalk (for example: 1 block = 2 feet).
